Royal College of Nursing Congress 2025

This years Congress took place at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, a modern waterfront venue easily accessible by car and public transport. Congress is the Royal College of Nursing’s annual conference, a significant event in the nursing calendar. It’s a platform for nurses to network, engage in debates about nursing and healthcare policy, learn, and develop their skills. The congress provides a space for members to express opinions, influence policy, and participate in various educational and social activities.

The congress aims to influence the RCN’s policy and future direction, as well as health and social care services and it offers a variety of educational opportunities for nurses, including learning and wellbeing programs.

R&B Approach

The main challenge for R&B Group this year was to build full staging and AV production in two huge empty halls at Liverpool ECL for the Royal College of Nursing Congress for 2000 delegates. This was achieved in under 14 hours, However, many hours of pre-production planning enabled R&B to deliver on time to an agreed schedule that suited the client. Using their 360-production service R&B Groups AV teams worked seamlessly to ensure a stress-free experience for the client and their stakeholders.

The committee top table accommodated high resolution wide screen monitors and integrated wireless comms. The lectern could be electronically adjusted for height and the agenda desk and AV pit were also custom built to a high standard, all in R&B’s construction workshops. The eco-friendly technical rig featured LED and Laser ensuring ‘power cost’ efficiency.

“On behalf of the whole RCN team – a huge thank you for your incredible support in delivering ‘Congress 2025’ in Liverpool.
We absolutely love working with you. I’m always amazed at how calmly, efficiently, and professionally you handle our last-minute requests and ever-evolving plans to help bring such a complex event to life. We truly appreciate everyone’s contribution.

The agenda committee and the governance team were so grateful to be in your team’s safe hands. The work Chris did on the speaker queuing system went truly above and beyond and was very much appreciated.

Roll on 2026!”
