It’s been a blast! And one of the best things I did in my life.
In 2007 I moved to Harrogate, North Yorkshire for what was supposed to be 6 months, very nearly ten years later and I never went ‘home’ and a lot of water has passed under the Nidd Gorge. But it’s time to say farewell and hello to pastures new! Staying put with the R&B family, of course!
R&B Group had opened the first office away from Newcastle head office back then and I was, drafted 85 miles south to align how the business ran from there with our Newcastle counterparts. I genuinely fell in love with Harrogate and Yorkshire, did some amazing events, met some amazing people and even became quizmaster of one the local pubs. So why move?
Well, there are a number of reasons, but mainly, after ten years I often get itchy feel. I turned forty this year (I know I don’t look a day over thirty) and if I’m honest I’ve always wanted to see what living and working in the capital was all about so now’s the time or I’ll never do it! So, one conversation led to another and in January I will be starting work as the Account and Project Manager for the London Region for R&B Group.
I should say while still, keeping close to regular and fabulous existing clients.
It’s an exciting opportunity for R&B Group, an exciting time for me and we’ve some exciting things planned, so watch this space! If you’re London based and would like to chat about what we offer please get in touch at email@example.com I’d love to hear from you!
Two things I’m not looking forward to. Jellied Eels and warm, flat beer – but I guess that comes with the territory. I think brought a little bit of the Toon to Harrogate over the last ten years, so the Big Smoke better watch out for the next ten!
